We Remain (Baqoun)
The word “baqoun”, in Arabic, is translated as “we remain”, in the present tense...in the original it carries an intention and a decision concerning the future, it carries a “we will remain"
Let me start with two of the great ones (Brazilian writers, that is).
Milton Hatoum wrote one day, as he was citing someone else, that the world is a cloaca. I do agree.
And Raduan Nassar, in one of his phrases full of power, says “to the noise of the world, I answer with my silence".
